Time saving tips for busy real estate agents

When it comes to real estate, time is one of your greatest assets. If you can get more done in less time, you’ll outperform less-efficient agents while still looking after number one.

Plan your day

Write a list of everything you need to get done today. Next, triage your tasks into high, medium, and low priority. Break down large projects into smaller tasks so that it’s easier to begin.

Start with the most important thing on your to-do list. Or, if that’s too hard, opt for an easy win.

Set aside blocks of time for each item. These self-imposed time restrictions will help you minimise deadtime and improve your overall efficiency. Don't forget to include scheduled breaks away from your desk in your daily plan.

Optimise your screen time

Your value as an agent is largely determined by your ability to form relationships with your vendors. If you’re anything like our customers, you want to spend less ‘dead-time’ in front of your screen and more productive time in front of your clients.

So, when you are at the computer, here are a couple of tips that will help you get the most value from each session.

Spend less time writing ads

Our ad writing tool will help you create professional marketing content in a matter of minutes. Whether you’re writing your own ads or paying a real estate copywriter, you can cut down your editing time and get a better advert in less time with Blerb. That means more time for nurturing leads, closing deals, and doing what you love.

Schedule your social media posts

If you struggle to set aside time for social media posting, or feel like you’re a slave to your smartphone, a scheduling tool could be the answer.

There are a myriad of social scheduling tools available; Buffer, Missing Lettr, and Later to name a few. These tools allow you to queue up all your social media posts in advance.

With a scheduling tool, you can set aside an hour on Monday morning to write your social posts for the week, then get back to other tasks without it hanging over your head.

Start saying no

Having too much to do can be a huge time waster. With an ever expanding to-do list, you risk getting overwhelmed and not knowing where to start. Even if you’re a multi-tasking wizard, enough is enough. Prioritise your own goals and learn to say no.

With proactive time management, you'll achieve more while feeling less stressed.

Never underestimate the value of your own time. Plan, schedule, and be selective to make the most of your day.

Here’s to your success!
